I’m SO excited to share that I (ZMP) is now..

CARBON LITERATE!!

This is a massive step for one of my main values as a business!

If you’re not sure what this is: ‘An awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities

and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis’

Through @sustainableweddingallianceuk I have completed my carbon literacy training, awarding me my certificate

Just some of the things I have pledged and done in order to attain this

🍃 Gained knowledge around some of the important changes we need to make as a society to reach net zero

🍃 Made individual actions such as aiming for four veggie meals a week (spinach and ricotta tortellini is my go to for lunches at the moment! @giovanniranaita shame the packaging isn’t recyclable though!🤷🏼‍♀️) as well as adding sustainability page to my website and looking through all my supply chain to make sure I only use sustainable suppliers!

🍃 Made group actions such as educating by talking about the climate crisis on my stories as well as helping out on local community projects – such as South East Rivers Trust where I helped with their gravel seeding works for river restoration last month @southeastriverstrust

I will also show an update soon of how many trees I have now planted from full day Wedding bookings!

It honestly feels so powerful being able to make a difference as a small business, and I hope it inspires you to perhaps make some small changes in your personal lives or even to perhaps talk to your boss or someone you know about the climate 🌍
